Built the official TypeScript and Python SDKs, a CLI, a grounded MCP knowledge engine with hybrid retrieval and an eval harness, and official integrations across Vercel AI SDK, LiveKit, Pipecat and LangChain. Also led developer relations, developer marketing, product-led growth and the partner programme, growing the developer network past half a million developer impressions in the first three months and leading the developer launch of Simba 3.2, which ranked #1 on the public blind TTS leaderboards on release.

Re-architected the SDKs to reflect the product, maintained the open-source packages, and built the first CLI, a library of open-source demos and internal tooling. Also set the direction of the open-source programme, launched the developer community on Discord and GitHub Discussions, and coached the team in developer relations, advocacy and developer experience engineering.

Developed and maintained open-source plugins that made Netlify work well across frameworks and architectures, including launches for Gatsby and Next, as a player-coach managing a team of Principal and Senior Developer Experience engineers.

Architected, built and launched a new Developer Education platform with internal and syndication tools, and worked on the JavaScript Client SDK, integrating Vonage API features with real-time services over WebSocket connections. Also created and syndicated technical content for the Developer Relations team.

Built with new languages and frameworks using Auth0 products, learning each one fast, then wrote about the work while those technology trends were still new.

Built a new platform on AWS with Terraform, architected the APIs for a new standalone frontend and integrated vendors including rightmove.com and zoopla.co.uk. Also provided technical leadership on large-scale projects in a small team.

Designed a new architecture that made the worst-performing search aggregations 95% faster, and built aggregated APIs and a Redis cache serving millions of searches to dozens of suppliers every day. Joined as a senior developer, became lead engineer, then head of engineering with some CTO responsibilities, leading a small team.

Built internal tooling and web services and provided studio support, in a small team of software and audio engineers.
